Neoclassical Canadian composer and multi-instrumentalist Robin Hatch is a rare talent, an artist who performs through a combination of transcribed improvisation while also applying traditional classical structures to modern melodic ideas. Over the course of 4 LPs, Hatch has cemented herself as a dynamic creative force, earning her place in lauded Canadian arts scenes like Toronto’s Long Winter music and arts festival, artist in residence at the Banff Centre for the Arts, and a critical position as artist in residence at the National Music Centre in 2021.

Along the way she has received The Guardian’s Contemporary Album of the Month (Dec. 2019), been profiled in Keyboard Magazine, performed live on CBC, premiered her work at the Canadian Music Centre and composed for the podcast Blowback (available on Stitcher Premium). She was the brand ambassador for Lumatone microtonal synthesizers from 2019-2020.

In addition to her critically acclaimed compositional work, Robin Hatch has long been a highly sought-after session musician and touring artist; for several years, she was the touring keyboard player for venerated Canadian rock band Our Lady Peace, and prior to the Covid-19 pandemic she had passed the audition to perform with the legendary Dweezil Zappa. In October of 2021 Hatch will return to the road performing with former Hollerado frontman Menno Versteeg (Royal Mountain Records) on a tour opening for Islands.
